First Place, Inc. is a Philippine-based career and education counseling organization. We help students and young professionals attend training and internships,
cultural exchanges, travel opportunities, and
work-study programs in the United States, Europe, Australia, and other countries.
Since 1999, FPI has been enabling thousands of students and young professionals to learn self-reliance and independence, while building lasting friendships with different cultures. Our various overseas programs continue to be a proven source of business contacts, marketable skills, and work experience.
Our comprehensive services cover the pre-qualifying processes of applicants, allowing them to satisfy the specific program requirements of foreign schools and companies. We work with entities such as the US State Department, host families, and organizations who accept Filipino students, interns and other young professionals for various overseas programs.
FPI's expertise includes the assessment and matching of applicants to specific educational programs and/or training positions. We help applicants organize all the documents required for government permits, prepare them for host company interviews, and guide them through both cultural integration seminars and pre-departure briefings.
We aim to provide our students and young professionals with safe yet challenging opportunities to learn the lessons of independence, discipline, and responsible management of their earnings from stable and fair work-study environments.
FPI also strives to enhance participants' commitment to their contractual obligations with their host companies and governments, develop their professionalism and work ethic, and prepare them for a successful career both locally and abroad.
Our global partners include nearly a hundred cultural exchange organizations, educational institutions, host companies, and visa sponsors. FPI is the first and only private organization in the Philippines accepted as a member of the WYSE Work Abroad Association, a merger of the Global Work Experience Association (GWEA) and the International Association for Educational Work Exchange Programs (IAEWEP), and a sector association member of the prestigious World Youth Student & Educational Travel Confederation (WYSETC) based in the Netherlands.
